Welcome to the International Patient Service (IPS) of the Henriettenstiftung.

The IPS is a special service, our house rendered to foreign patients, who want to receive treatment in the Henriettenstiftung. On the following pages we would like to introduce ourselves and, in this way give you a better impression of our hospital, our offer of medical performances and of our services specially tailored to our foreign patients.

It is our task to do anything that, on the one hand, you will receive the best possible medical treatment and, on the other hand, to enable you and your accompanying relatives a pleasant stay in our hospital for the benefit of your health.

For this purpose, we have developed a procedure for admission and care, which is specially tailored to our foreign patients and which enables us, at your wish, to organize and coordinate your complete in-patient stay from beginning to end. Among other things, it is a matter of course for us to personally care for you during your entire stay in Hanover on your request. Our extensive service offer for our patients includes for example:

Accommodation of an accompanying relative together with the patient in the same room as well as full meals

Processing and settlement of all formalities

	Most of our nurses and doctors are speaking english, some as well other languages, e. g. russian, spanish, french

During your in-patient stay we endeavor to offer you the best possible comfort in your patient room, for example telephone, TV, radio, refrigerator, safe, etc. You will find a detailed description of our complete service offer as well as all options on our page "Services".

The idea to offer a service, specially tailored to foreign patients, arose against the background of long-time experience, the Henriettenstiftung gained with the treatment of foreign patients. In this way, by a cooperation with an English hospital-trust, we have taken on since 1996 the in-patient and out-patient treatment of several thousand members of the British army and their relatives, who are stationed in Germany. Due to the fact that Hanover is worldwide a very important exhibition center, every year patients from many different countries, who have heard of our outstanding medical performances for example from foreign fair visitors, come to the Henriettenstiftung. Due to our long-time experience, cultural and religious desires/needs expressed by our patients during their stay are naturally considered by our employees.

In order to grant the desires/needs for example of our British patients, these patients have at their disposal, among many other things, English-speaking personnel, specially equipped patient rooms with bed curtains, typical British food, English newspapers and TV as well as English-language direction signs everywhere in the hospital.
